Estonia needs people who can build drones
Not just fly them. We give TalTech students the aircraft, tools and partners to become those engineers while they are still studying, not years after.
Our mission
MTÜ Drone Club is a nonprofit student club at TalTech. We exist to turn students into engineers who have already designed, built and flown real unmanned systems, through our own projects, lab work, competitions and work for partners who need the result.
What we work toward
Teach by building
Members learn by designing, building and flight-testing real aircraft in the club's projects, with experienced teammates alongside them.
Research that flies
Autonomous navigation, swarm coordination, payload integration and flight control, tested on our own aircraft and not only in simulation.
Work to real requirements
Labs, companies and Estonia's defence and security agencies bring problems they actually need solved. Students work to real specifications, not invented ones.
Show the work
If we built it, we'll bring it out: demos, competitions, light shows and public events across Estonia.
How we work
- Open-mindedness
- The best idea does not always come from the most experienced person. We argue about designs, and change our minds when the test data disagrees.
- Ownership
- If you pick up a subsystem it is yours — through the design, the failed test and the fix.
- Teamwork
- An airframe touches aerodynamics, electronics, firmware and flight operations at once. Nothing here gets built alone.
